Red Nose Marathon and Half Marathon

Registration form This year's event, the 4th annual, will be bigger and better than ever with official timing, a certified half marathon course, expo and pre-race pasta dinner (expo & pasta dinner have been canceled but will be packet pickup from 6-9pm Friday night at the Marriott.) We invite you to run; either race, join the Columbus Road Runner's; half marathon training group, volunteer, contribute; or sponsor this annual FREE race benefiting the John B. Amos Cancer Center.
So here's our story.....
The Red Nose was the vision of Heidi Kirsch and was born out a handful or two of runners wanting to promote fitness following the holiday season. They trained and in January 2007 they met in front of Fountain City Coffee and ran the First Red Nose marathon. Each year the event has grown in participants and last year timing was used and the half marathon course was certified by USATF/RRCA. This year the race will be bigger than ever but initial premise of a FREE race is still intact. There is no entry fee to run the Red Nose. An optional technical t-shirt is offered for $20 and all your contributions will be made to the John B. Amos Cancer Center.

Time: Marathon 7am (5 hours limit), Half Marathon 8am (certified course)
Course: Start in downtown Columbus, GA. Go through town and onto Columbus Riverwalk along Chattahoochee River. Half Marathon course is certified. Link to course map
Cost: FREE (Optional long sleeve t-shirt $20) (Donations to JBACC accepted above)
Awards: There will be awards and door prizes
